Christophe Monier represented the Secretary-General on the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) from 2011 to 2017, and is serving a second term in the same capacity since 2019.

Currently, Mr. Monier is the Director of the Business Transformation and Accountability Division in the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance within the UN Secretariat.

Since joining the UN system in 1992, Mr. Monier has served in increasingly responsible positions and in several managerial functions. In the Secretariat, he worked in the Office of Central Support Services and Programme Planning, Budget and Accounts. He also worked for the Food and Agricultural Organization, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, where he led the implementation of a number of business transformation projects in the area of finance and administrative management.

An Information Technology engineer by training, Mr. Monier brings over 30 years of experience working in positions in project management, business transformation, information technology, finance and administration to this challenging role. In addition to his strong technical background, he has also held senior leadership roles in significant change management and business model design initiatives.

Mr. Monier represented the Secretary-General on the Board of UNICRI from 2011 to 2017, and is serving a second term since 2019. He also served on the Board of United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund from 2013 to 2017.
